Starting Over when your Life has Crashed

2015 was rough and 2016 started with a crash.

Now what?

Now it is the time to start over (already started) and do it again and do it better. I am mostly going to stop “tech fixing” and focus all my energy on WebDevSign and consulting. I’m not going to sit around and feel sorry for myself all the time. I am getting up and going to do something. Now it’s time to rocket off this landing pad.

What is WebDevSign?

I read this great article by BobWP on the GoDaddy.

WordPress designer vs. developer vs. devsigner

I’ve struggled for years as to what I call my skill set and I like this term. I’m not a “designer” and I’m not a “developer”. I fall in the middle  of the developer and designer. I assemble bits and pieces of existing things and I make something new.

Will I change my “Your Local Tech” name?

No, I almost thought about it after a conversation this weekend. But instead I will keep this domain ‘lorennason.com’ as a central starting point to all my ventures. It will have my personal blogging activities, a link to Your Local Tech – WordPress Hosting, Devsign and Maintaining and a link to Diesel Brew – Cold Brewed Coffee

What will I do here?

Talk about whatever I want. Rant a little. Try to give more thanks than rant. Talk about other stuff besides WordPress and Coffee. Maybe I’ll start dieting again and exercising.

I love this idea and I love that you don’t settle for anything. Great work man and I’m looking forward to seeing all that you do with this.

Thanks Jason. It’s been a punch to the gut and the mental stability. But I can only sit and wallow in self pity for so long and it doesn’t solve anything. I will work through it and end up better because it.

Loren, it was good to see you this weekend. I always appreciate your perspectives and am confident that a smart guy like you will bounce back.

I’ve always thought you were “smarter than the average bear” Loren. I think the WebDevSign term is very fitting for what you do. Good luck and hope you see you around soon.
