I glued together 3 planks of Purpleheart and 2 planks of Maple. Cut it to size and then mounted it in my lathe.
On the lathe I made it round, parted off a lid then hollowed out the inside.
Sanded the pieces and then gave it a spray of shellac.
It’s purty
