The Latest Project – Spinners aka Fidget Toys

The boy was asking to make a new project in the shop and he suggested spinners, also know as fidget toys.

Here is an example

First I scrounged up same bearings and a couple of nuts (the chrome kind not the human kind). I and the young man then went into the shop and found some scrap SpectraPly colored Plywood. Cut out some shapes. Finalized the shape on the belt sander. After we had the shapes we wanted and smoothed we put a finish of shellac and some waterbased PolyAcrylic finish.

Once the wood pieces were done we glued in our bearings and nuts.

Some completed and in progress shots:

This was a fun project and we might have to do another one.
