Metal Art in the Desert

We took a mini drive this weekend.

Made a stop at Tropical Exotic Hardwoods in Carlsbad, CA and picked up a piece of Spalted Tamarind. A lidded box may come from this.

After the first stop we made our way towards Julian. On the way we stopped at Crossroads Treasures in San Ysabel and the boy got a nice polished geode. We then stopped at The Barn in Julian to look at old stuff. Our final stop before heading home was Julian Pie Company for some warm apple pie.

On the way home we found the highlight of our trip. This amazing road side art exhibit by Ricardo Breceda The World’s Sculptor. We bought one of the peacocks.
