The Need to Make Things

For years I’ve wanted to learn CNC. This weekend I decided to download Fusion 360 from AutoDesk.

Today I made a box in Fusion 360

I’ve been talking to a friend and he said if I bought the Shapeoko 3 I would be unhappy with it in 6 months. I’m not so sure because I think I may get a lot more learning out of it before I can grow out of it’s limitations.

With the cost of the Shapeoko 3 I was conscerned on it’s faults/capabilities. So maybe the better option is to spend the money and build my own. What’s the best way to learn CNC? Build your own machine?

The timing of this video popping into YouTube is perfect. I wonder if it might be the ticket

After watching the video i don’t think this will be the option
