Make the Page Name Different than the Menu Item

I received your email yesterday and you asked a question.

How to Edit the Title of a Page without Changing the Menu Name? (Also called the Navigation Label)

For most WordPress sites you probably created pages and added them to the menu and just used the name of the page to be the menu name. This is first thing everyone will do. I still do it as well. But what if you wanted to change the name of the page but have the menu item stay the same?

Step 1:

Change the Title of Page and then press the “update” button.

Step 2:

Go to Appearance > Menus
Choose the menu you want to edit (if you have more than 1)
Click the dropdown arrow for the menu item that you want to change the Navigation Label
Enter want you want
Click Save
