They are called floating because the design has a flowing water pattern in it.<\/p>\n<p>After creating the carving I made a box from Southern Yellow Pine to inset the skull panel into the top of the box and then a piece of 1\/4&#8243; ply for the bottom of the box. Before assembly and glue up the wood received a torched shousugi ban inspired effect.<\/p>\n<p>The inside of the box measures a little under 12&#8243;x3&#8243; and the outside of the box is 13&#8243;(l) x 4&#8243;(w) x 4&#8243;(h)<\/p>\n<p>Shipping is included in the price<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>To make this box I carved a 12&#8243;x3&#8243; piece of Peruvian walnut with the floating skulls design.
